Romina Picciau

Romina is a registered Psychologist and has a Bachelor of Arts in (Psychology) and a Masters in Critical Psychology. She is licensed by the Psychology Board of Australia and is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Romina is also a WorkCover Provider NSW approved practitioner.

Experience: Romina has over 15 years experience working with adults, children, adolescence and couples and specialises in Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Counselling, Stress and Post Natal Depression. She provides short and long term therapy and treatment for a wide range of individuals that present with complex emotional needs. She has previously worked in a variety of settings. They include private Inpatients and Outpatients Psychiatric Hospitals, Government, Corporations and Private Practice. Romina has presented workshops to health professionals, corporate management executives in private and public sectors and schools on stress management , emotional intelligence effective communication and conflict resolution.

Approach: Romina is a very warm, caring and experienced Psychologist who will listen in a safe environment and will help you develop a treatment plan that is specific to your needs. She uses a number of different  approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
