Men's Issues

Men’s issues relate to mental, physical or social difficulties experienced specifically by men. Men often feel uncomfortable about seeking help or talking about issues they are facing. Australian men are less likely to seek help if experiencing depression, and are 3 times more likely to die by suicide than women.

Common issues experienced by men may include:

  • Sexual health concerns
  • Relationship issues or family disputes
  • Work-related issues
  • Trouble coping with change, such as retirement, disability or physical ailments
  • Difficulty regulating lifestyle habits, such as drinking or gambling
  • Difficulty controlling anger
