Michaela is a warm, caring, and passionate psychologist who has worked with people from a wide variety of age groups, across cultures and sexual orientations, with various presenting concerns. Michaela has a strong focus on building a therapeutic relationship with her clients, creating a safe therapeutic space, working collaboratively, and empowering her clients to make change in their lives. Her relaxed but focused approach to therapy enables her clients to feel genuinely supported as they develop a deeper understanding into their concerns and skills to achieve their goals.

Michaela has experience working in both clinical private practice, and community settings, working across the lifespan with children, adolescents, families and adults. In her previous roles, Michaela worked as the site clinical lead in a multidisciplinary adult mental health service providing mentorship, clinical consultation, treatment and linkage to external services. Prior to this Michaela worked with children and families providing therapy, case management and advocacy and providing community outreach to schools and other services to promote mental health education.

Michaela has a strong interest in understanding the impact of early trauma on development and adult life. She also has an interest in understanding holistic psychological approach, recognising the importance of sleep, nutrition, relationships, work, movement and spirituality on mental health.
