Dr. Nghi Bui, a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD, Master of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). She is dedicated to supporting clients in leading meaningful lives. Drawing from extensive experience across public and private sectors, universities, and NGOs, she specialises in working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults. Nghi has concurrent roles at Sydney Children's Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital.
Nghi sees clients with a wide variety of presenting concerns, such as, children with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties; parenting support, depression, anxiety, stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, perfectionism, relationship issues. Nghi also has a special interest working with children who have been diagnosed with chronic illnesses. She draws from several evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Parent Management Training, Attachment-Based Therapies, Circle of Security Parenting and Tuning into Teens.
Nghi collaborates closely with clients to tailor interventions to their needs. Her creative techniques, such as therapy games and drawing, enhance engagement and rapport, creating a supportive environment for growth and development. Nghi also provides clinical supervision to registered psychologists, clinical psychologists, clinical psychology registrars and provisional psychologists in a higher degree program.
